Web Application Development for Ecotourism

Abstract

Web application development for ecotourism was developed to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and stimulate the tourism economy in digital platform. Environmental conservation tours were introduced to tourists or any interested people through the website. The system was allowed to manage information, such as tourism activities, tour promotions, and tourist attractions. This project was developed by usingHTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and SQL. Visual Studio Code, Xampp, and GitHub desktop wereadopted as development tools.Testing process was adopted to validate the quality of the system. There were 169 test cases, with a total pass percentage of85.20.The defected accrued due to suspension of development in 1 module. This allowedusers to manage information about events, promotions and attractions.It couldalso be used to introduce various tourist attractions.
