Abstract

This research aimed to investigate (1) family factors and levels of health behaviors among undergraduate students at Ubon Ratchathani Rajabhat University and (2) the relationship between family factors and the health behaviors of undergraduate students at Ubon Ratchathani Rajabhat University. The research sample consisted of 420 undergraduate students. Data were collected through a questionnaire, and the statistical analysis employed was Pearson's Correlation. The results revealed a gender distribution of 71.4% females and 28.6% males within the survey participants. A majority (71.0%) fell within the 20 to 22-year age range. Academic classification exhibited the following distribution: 2nd year (35.7%), 1st year (30.5%), 3rd year (21.4%), and 4th year (12.4%). The overall health behavior level of undergraduate students was found to be at a moderate level. The research highlighted significant positive correlations between family functioning, family relationships, and health behaviors (p < 0.01). Similarly, family health beliefs exhibited a significant positive correlation with health behaviors (p < 0.01). This study emphasizes the pivotal role of family dynamics, family relationships, and family health beliefs in shaping the health behaviors of undergraduate students.
