Free radical scavenging potential and phytochemical analysis of leaf extract from Ocimum sanctum Linn
Main Article Content
Abstract
The IC50 values of ascorbic acid (positive control), methanol, ethanol and chloroform extracts were 99.25, 214.84, 253.55 and 261.11μg/ml, respectively. Phytochemical analysis of studied plant extracts showed the presence of alkaloids, tannins, flavonoids, and saponins.
