Abstract

This research aimed to study the concentration and frequency of kaolin clay solution spraying on the yield and quality of 10-15-year-old Mayongchid (Marian plum) cultivar “Tulklao”. The study was conducted in Sak Lek District, Phichit Province, using a Randomized Complete Block Design with five treatments and four replications, one tree each. Treatment 1 sprayed kaolin clay solution at the rate of 30 gram/liter of water once a week. Treatment 2 sprayed kaolin clay solution at the rate of 30 gram/liter of water twice a week. Treatment 3 sprayed kaolin clay solution at the rate of 60 gram/liter of water once a week. Treatment 4 sprayed kaolin clay solution at the rate of 60 gram/liter of water twice a week, and treatment 5 sprayed plain water as a control. The study found no statistically significant differences (P>0.05) in the yield quality and quantity among all treatments. However, treatment 1 (30 g per 1 liter of water, once a week) tended to produce the highest yield compared to other treatments. Additionally, treatment 1 helped reduce damage caused by pests and diseases, with only 5% damage observed, compared to Treatment 5 (control), which showed 10% damage.
